Lassiter Trojans vs. Blessed Trinity Titans
On Tuesday March 3rd at 7:30pm the Blessed Trinity Titans host the Lassiter Trojans in a crosstown non-conference matchup. Lassiter is coming into the contest with an undefeated mark and outscoring opponents 50-3. Lassiter is known for their high tempo aggressive style of play, which constantly puts pressure on their opponents. Offensively, they will rely on junior Braden Erksa (Maryland), Ethan Cox (Utah), Josh Turner and utility man Murphy Mostellar. Mostellar is a throwback midfielder that will do it all for the Trojans. On the defensive side of the ball, they are led by a trio of seniors; Perry Kramer, Max Tock and Carson Dickson. They will have their hands full with the Titans’ offense, led by juniors Riley Sullivan (Lafayette) and Finn McCarthy. Midfielders TJ Scott, Hudson Carter and Charlie Lohman are huge difference makers for the Titans and will look to continue to give opposing defenses headaches. It will be a battle at the “x” with Blessed Trinity’s Wilson Van-Buren against Lassiter’s Joey Wittgen. The difference in the game is if Blessed Trinity can handle Lassiter’s pressure for 60 minutes.
Starr’s Mill Panthers vs. Johns Creek Gladiators On Wednesday March 4th at 7pm the Starr’s Mill Panthers travel up north to take on the Johns Creek Gladiators. Starr’s Mill, which returned 7 out of 10 starters have been off to a hot start going undefeated thus far. Garrett Meuninck (Mercer) is the headliner and fire starter for the Panthers. The Gladiators are led by midfielders Colin Honroth, Trip Biondo and Timmy Salit. Ethan Story is the mainstay on the defensive side of the ball and will look to disrupt the Panthers trio of attackmen. Landon Whitney could be a difference maker in the goal for the Panthers.
