Buford Wolves vs. Mill Creek Hawks
On Thursday March 12th, the Buford Wolves are on the road taking on the Mill Creek Hawks in a battle of the undefeated. The Buford Wolves are coming off a big win vs. The McCallie School (TN). Buford is led by their returning leading scorer, Danny Reymond. Reymond is accompanied by a younger cast this year, including Zack Salo, Mikey Canavan, Adam Reymond and Jackson Rhodes. They will have their biggest challenge of the year trying to score on the stout defense of Mill Creek. The Hawks defense is led by Parker Cyr (Bellarmine), Will Blake and Logan Tucker (Mercer). Tucker plays all over the field and is always a threat on the offensive side of the ball as well. Offensively, the Hawks are led by Nick Calabrese (Anderson), Nick Kava, Drew Bennett and Trevor Johnson. This will be a great out of conference match up!
Westminster Wildcats vs. Roswell Hornets The Westminster Wildcats faceoff against the Roswell Hornets in the nightcap at the Inaugural Turner Cockrell Classic at Allatoona. This will be Westminster’s biggest challenge this year. They will have their hands full trying to slow down Roswell’s high-octane offense led by midfielders Evan Plunkett (Army) and Alex Gekas (Army). You can’t forget about the attack duo of Alex Lobel and Scott Stickles. Sophomore Denton Shamburger and junior Taji Flynn will be responsible for slowing down the Hornets. Senior short stick Paul Weathington (Princeton) will impact the game on both the defensive and offensive side of the field for the Wildcats. Offensively, they will look to senior midfielders Ryan Chambliss (Swarthmore) and Will Graves (Haverford) for production. The most important part of this game will take place at the “X”. This will be a battle between arguably the top two faceoff guys in Georgia – Westminster’s junior Dylan Farley and Roswell’s senior MP Thomas (Navy). Georgia lacrosse fans will be treated to a great one Saturday night!
